Festival Uličnih Svirača

Roughly translated as a festival of street musicians, this manifestation exists for over 20 years in Novi Sad, Serbia and is one of the cities most visited events.

The main inspiration behind the identity was stage lights, an iconic symbol that many street musicians dream of. With that in mind, I developed a visual language centered around the lens flare effect that occurs when light hits a camera, along with the surrounding gradient it creates.

I expanded on this concept by designing a light-inspired gradient that was projected onto the streets of Petrovaradin, where the festival is held. This not only reinforced the visual identity but also served as a navigational tool, guiding visitors from one stage to another.

The digital campaign ran across all social media with the primary campaign being a history of public events in Petrovaradin. The rest of the campaign was a slow rollout of the headliners along with the rest of the festival’s repertoire.

For the merchandise production, I teamed up with Squeegee Printarija to create a modular screen printing experience at the festival. We prepared multiple screens with different versions of the logo, a few background shapes, and the festival name in writing — all in various colors. Festival-goers could mix and match the elements to create their own unique shirt designs.
